Citrine Boychuk and Jeremy “Jay” Sauvageau named to IOC/FIS Mogul Development Camp

The IOC/FIS is putting on a Mogul Development Camp to support the development of skiers and coaches towards mogul’s fist inclusion in Youth Olympic Games (2024).

Freestyle Canada selected a YOG eligible male (Jeremy “Jay” Sauvageau (QC)) and female (Citrine Boychuk (AB)) as well as our coach, Phil Marquis. The Mogul Development Camp was originally supposed to be in Airolo, SUI but was moved to Valmalenco, ITA due to snow conditions.

Camp is on now in advance of Jr. Worlds which will also be in Valmalenco (moguls).

The team will be joined by:

  • Ashley Koehler (QC)
  • Lynette Conn (BC)
  • Jean-Christophe Bougie (QC)
  • Joey Dubuc (QC)
  • Louis Paradis (QC)
  • As well as guest coach, Audrey Robichaud.

Freestyle Canada felt it was important to support this important initiative by sending our technical coach, Phil Marquis to help all nations. We also wanted to give two young skiers some exposure to other international coaches as well as an international competition in advance of the Youth Olympic Games.

The training camp aims to improve developing Freestyle nations’ knowledge and competencies to advance the sport in these nations.

Athletes must be born between 1st January 2003 – 31st December 2008 (Junior World Championships age group)
