2024-25 Canadian Halfpipe Team
Freestyle Canada is pleased to announce the 2024-25 Canadian Halfpipe team. The team of veterans will include three skiers who were away from competition last year, Rachel Karker, Cassie Sharpe, and Noah Bowman. They will all have their sights set on the 2025 World Championships as well as the 2026 Olympic Winter Games.
Freestyle Canada welcomes back all returning skiers to the program and extends a warm welcome to Quincy Barr, the only new skier added to the high-performance program. Two skiers have announced their retirement and Freestyle Canada would like to thank Simon D’artois and Sascha Pedenko for their contribution to the sport. We wish them all the best in their future endeavors.
Coach of the NextGen team, Brayden Tritter said, “We are excited to welcome Quincy Barr to the team after a breakthrough season. Quincy’s positive attitude and hunger to progress will complement the other members of the NextGen Halfpipe team well. I feel fortunate to continue working with the entire team, as it is a group of passionate, hardworking, and talented athletes, and look forward to watching them achieve their goals in the next two seasons leading up to the 2026 Olympic Winter Games”
We do have a few skiers returning from injury and are excited to see their progress as we enter the training season. Thank you to our medical team and partners, including the Canadian Sport Institute Alberta, for their ongoing support.
Freestyle Canada congratulates all skiers on a successful winter, wishes them all a great break, and looks forward to their continued success in the 2024-25 season and beyond.
