Pete Verheyde started skiing at the age of four, later participating in the Nancy Green program. He was an alpine skier for three years, but after training, he would always end up in the park with other skiers. Almost immediately, Pete realized his true passion was freestyle skiing.
In 2014, a group of friends introduced Pete to the Winsport Academy, where he took his freestyle skiing career to the competitive level. He quickly advanced from the recreational level to competing on the NorAm tour. His inspiration and drive came from both the ski community and his accomplishments.
Pete’s hard work and dedication led towards an invitation to the National Team for halfpipe skiing in 2020. Since then, he has been fortunate enough to be able to train and compete around the world while meeting other amazing athletes and coaches.
