Kerrian Chunlaud started skiing at the age of two. His father, Didier, was a ski instructor who passed down his passion and knowledge of the sport to Kerrian.
At the age of eight, a coach from the Stoneham club noticed Kerrian at the ski club and told Didier that his son should try mogul skiing. Luckily enough, Stoneham was running a promotion that very same day to try the sport out and Kerrian was instantly hooked.
Ironically enough, one of Kerrian’s future teammates, Philippe Marquis, was a big influence on Kerrian as a young skier. Philippe also hails from Stoneham and helped inspire Kerrian to push harder in the sport.
Outside of skiing, Kerrian enjoys playing the drums, soccer, hanging out with friends, and goofying around with teammate Matt Joosten at training camps. The self-proclaimed team dancer, Kerrian loves showing off his “running man challenge” dance and the movies he learned from watching his favourite show, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
