After an impressive journey in mogul skiing, Danny Tanner has decided to hang up his skis and embrace new adventures. Following a chronic back injury that required a prolonged recovery, Danny opted not to rejoin the Canadian NextGen Mogul Team for the 2024-25 season.
Danny’s career highlight came in the 2022-23 season when he claimed the NorAm Tour title in moguls, earning him a personal World Cup spot for the entire 2023-24 season. While his achievements on the slopes showcased his talent and determination, the time away from competition allowed him to reflect on his priorities and future goals.
Throughout his skiing career, Danny also documented his journey on YouTube, creating 150 videos over three years. Sharing behind-the-scenes moments, training insights, and competition highlights, his channel became a space to inspire and connect with the ski community. As the Freestyle Moguls and Dual Moguls World Cup circuit heads home to Val St-Côme, QC, this weekend, the freestyle community will certainly miss seeing Danny on the Canadian course. His dedication and energy have left a lasting impact on the sport.
Freestyle Canada wishes Danny the best in his retirement and looks forward to seeing him continue to inspire in his new endeavors.
