NOAH BOWMAN

Imagine being allergic to the cold when competing in a winter sport. That’s exactly what happened to Noah Bowman at the age of 17 when the rare condition, “cold urticarial”, came out of nowhere.

Noah was luckily able to grow out of it approximately a year later and continue with the sport he loved since he first put on a pair of skis at the age of three.

Since he discovered the halfpipe at 14, Noah has been one to watch on tour. By 2010 he was a World Junior champion and in 2012 captured a Winter X Games silver medal in Aspen after performing a new trick never done before in competition – the switch alley-oop doube 900. Noah was originally not even supposed to compete in the event after only being invited to the X Games as an alternate.

In 2014, competing in the debut of ski halfpipe in the Olympic Games, Noah would finish in fifth place in Sochi.

During the off-season, Noah can be found enjoying outdoor activities such as skateboarding and biking. Noah also has an artistic side to him. He always travels with his guitar and isn’t afraid to bring it out in public for a jam session.
