I started skiing at 2 years old. Born in the Yukon, skiing is one of the first things I learned how to do after walking. The winters there are taught, but I learned to love it through skiing. My Mom (Sylvie Geoffroy) and my brother (Simon Geoffroy-Gagnon) are definitely the two main people who got me skiing first. My dad (Christian Gagnon) then taught me the basics of skiing.
I raced from the age of 8-12, but my coaches were always in and out of the park. I would follow them into the park and watch them ski. This inspired me to start park skiing. I was convinced to the join the Yukon Freestyle Ski Club after a few years of skiing park for fun with my good friends Josh Harlow, Miguel Rodden, Seb Berthiaume and Anatole Tuzlak. I haven’t looked back since.
I’ve always loved sports, whether it’s soccer, volley ball, squash or even lifting weights in the gym, I love it all! If I ’am not doing on of these activities with my friends you can catch me in the outdoors exploring mountains, lakes, rivers or anything worth exploring. Sitting still is not one of my characteristics unless I ‘am exhausted from training.
My mother is from France so I only speak French at home and English everywhere else.
Meeting new people is also something I love doing. There’s nothing in life I would rather be doing than traveling the world and doing what I love with amazing people. Let the fun continue!
