Having come from a family of competitive skiers, Emma started skiing at the age of 4 and by the age of 7 did my first bumps and jumps lesson at WinSport (Calgary); she started competing a few years later in moguls, halfpipe and slope. To fuel herself for competitions Emma enjoys her favourite food combination: goldfish and chocolate chips.

When Emma is off the slopes and not doing school work, she likes to draw and paint, usually capturing scenery from places she has visited. Emma’s passion for art shines through when she is in the Halfpipe and performs like an artist.

Emma career goal since she has been 3 years old is to compete at the Olympic Games.

Emma’s educational goal is to go to medical school… although she has not quite figured out what her specialty will be.

Emma contributes her success to three main pillars:

  1. Her parents, who have supported her throughout her sporting career, not only financially but emotionally.
  2. Her teammates and coaches from the last two years: they were the ones who were there for all the highs and lows.
  3. Her boyfriend and other friends who cheer her up when needed, and make her time off the slopes more enjoyable.
