Steven Kahnert

Born in Vancouver BC, Steven grew up skiing with the Vancouver and Whistler Freestyle clubs. He then went on to spend 4 years as a member of the BC Park and Pipe Team before becoming a part of the Canadian NextGen team in 2021. Steven skied in both slopestyle and halfpipe until 2019, at that time he shifted focus to the halfpipe after being introduced to the halfpipe scene by Matt Margetts. Steven would go on to proclaim, “Matt developed my skills and gave me the opportunity to pursue halfpipe”. Upon joining the team in 2021 Steven competed in his first World Cup event in December of 2021, having only been added to the team just weeks before.
