Louis-David began skiing at just three years old, and after moving from Oakville, Ontario, to Quebec City, he joined the Mont-Sainte-Anne ski club at age eight and set his sights on mogul skiing.

His interest in the sport took off after watching Alexandre Bilodeau’s inspiring gold-medal performance in Vancouver 2010. Soon after, Louis-David and his brother joined the local freestyle club, where his passion for moguls only deepened.

Louis-David’s dedication and talent quickly shone through. He was selected for the Quebec team at 14, advancing through one year in the development program and three years in the performance program. His hard work paid off when he earned a spot on the national team, even after enduring a challenging season without competitions due to the Covid pandemic.
