When did you start skiing? How did you get started?

At the age of 17, when I was looking for something to do with friends on weekends, freestyle skiing quickly became my main passion. Hopping in the car on Saturday morning and driving down to the ski hill with the idea to scare myself and land a new trick was highly addictive.

What inspired you to get into freestyle skiing? How old were you? What club did you start with?

I don’t think there was one thing in particular that inspired me to get into Freestyle Skiing, if anything I just kind of fell into the sport and loved the attention that came with doing a cool tricks in front of others. After a year or two of skiing on my own I joined the local team where Geoff Lovelace was my coach.

What are your skiing career goals?

To compete in the Olympic Winter Games, win an X-Games Gold medal, build a sustainable career from the sport, and inspire younger athletes to chase their dream.

How do you spend your time off the slopes?

I like to spend my time off the slopes challenging myself and trying new experiences. Mainly sticking to an array of actions sport (especially MMA), travelling and working on my business.

Fun fact about you others may not know…

I enjoy running Ultra Marathons and have done races up to 100 km.

What is your favourite result (to date)?

Placing 4th at my first World Cup event in Bakuriani, Georgia. I went to the event with a bunch of injuries but it felt amazing to push through and land a run in competition. Even though a large portion of the international athletes couldn’t attend the event, it was awesome to see everything come full circle and know I was able to perform on the world stage.
