It was thanks to his parents that Alec started skiing at a very young age. By the time he was 3 he was already on the ski slopes in the Laurentians, dreaming of competing in ski races. His parents gave him the choice between speed and freestyle skiing, and without hesitation, Alec chose freestyle.
He began his career with the Mont-Gabriel Freestyle Ski Club, and in 2017, Alec attended the Acrobatx Mondial in Lac-Beauport with his club, getting stars in his eyes when he saw the jumping athletes take to the triple ramp.
In 2020, Alec was recruited to the Quebec jumping team. After two years on the NorAm circuit, Alec is now a member of Canada’s NextGen team.
He has always been attracted to extreme sports such as high diving, climbing and surfing. Freestyle skiing was undoubtedly a sport that would stimulate him.
One of his biggest goals is to join the world’s best athletes on the World Cup circuit and one day compete in the Olympic Winter Games.
