67 athletes named across four National Team programs; Kicking Horse Coffee joins Freestyle Canada’s growing partnership portfolio.
VANCOUVER, BC (November 5, 2026) - Freestyle Canada is proud to announce its World Cup and NextGen teams for the 2026–27 season, naming 67 athletes across moguls, aerials, halfpipe, and slopestyle and big air.
The roster features 33 athletes named to the National Team's World Cup program and 34 athletes in the NextGen program, highlighting the depth of Canadian freestyle skiing and the continued development of athletes working toward the international stage.
From established World Cup competitors to emerging talent, this year's team represents the dedication and commitment of athletes, coaches, clubs and provincial and territorial sport organizations across the country. As the season gets underway, athletes will look to build on that foundation, pursue international success and continue progressing within Canada's freestyle skiing pathway.
“Being named to a Freestyle Canada National Team means becoming part of a proud heritage built on excellence. This year’s 67 athletes represent the strength and depth of freestyle skiing in Canada, and have the opportunity to challenge themselves against the best in the world. We’re excited to see what they accomplish this season and on the road to the 2030 Olympic Winter Games,” said Peter Judge, CEO of Freestyle Canada.

From early morning training sessions to World Cup podium pursuits, Kicking Horse Coffee's ‘Wake Up. Kick Ass.’ spirit reflects the commitment, preparation and determination behind every performance.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Kicking Horse Coffee to the Freestyle Canada team,” Judge shared. “Their bold, innovative approach and strong connection to mountain culture reflect the spirit of our sport. With a distinctly Canadian, audacious ‘pourquoi pas’ attitude, Kicking Horse Coffee is a natural fit for our athletes and programs. Their support will play an important role in strengthening our programs and supporting our athletes.”
Federal Investment to Strengthen Canada's High-Performance Freestyle Skiing Programs
Freestyle Canada acknowledges the Government of Canada's continued investment in Canadian sport, including more than $156 million in funding for 62 National Sport Organizations in 2026–27. This support will help Freestyle Canada advance its high-performance priorities, strengthen domestic training environments and provide athletes, coaches and technical staff with the resources needed to pursue international success. Freestyle Canada thanks the Honourable Adam van Koeverden, Secretary of State (Sport), and the Government of Canada for their continued commitment to supporting Canadian athletes and strengthening Canada’s sport system.
“The multifaceted, generational investment being made in sport by the Government of Canada will have a profound effect on the system as a whole,” Judge noted. “From removing barriers to entry and investing in upskilling our grassroots systems, through to unprecedented support for those who represent our nation at the highest level, this investment provides much-needed support to ensure long-term success for our programs, teams and athletes.”
