Evan Marineau has Olympic ties in his family. His father, Dennis Marineau, competed in the 1992 Albertville Winter Olympic Games as a bobsledder and then coached with Bobsleigh Canada for a number of years – including athletes like Pierre Lueders.

Evan got a taste of the Olympic stage in 2016 when he was selected to represent Canada in the halfpipe at the Youth Olympic Games in Norway and ultimately finished in seventh place.

Evan and his twin brother, Dylan, started skiing from the moment they could walk and developed their talents on the mountains of Fernie, BC. Early on, the boys trained in moguls, big air, slopestyle, and halfpipe. These days Evan focuses on halfpipe while his brother is a slopestyle skier.

When he’s not skiing, Evan is on his skateboard, mountain biking or playing ultimate frisbee.

In 2016, Evan was named to the inaugural Park & Pipe NextGen Team.
