Ryan started skiing at the age of 5 years old at Canada Olympic Park with his elementary school program. Three years later he got his first taste of freestyle skiing through Jumps and Bumps. It is after attempting to ski the Canada Olympic Park mogul course as a kid that Ryan chose to pursue his freestyle career in the discipline. Now in his early twenties Ryan has integrated the National team, a definite highlight in his career.

The 2017 winner of the Canada Cup also had a noteworthy season on the FIS Nor-Am circuit with top-10 finishes. Ryan placed 5th in Killington, 6th in dual moguls in Val St-Côme and 8th at both Apex and North Star Nor-Ams.

When he is not skiing, Ryan enjoys dirt biking and fishing.
