FAQ

Insurance

Q: DO I NEED SAIP IF I HAVE PROVINCIAL HEALTH CARE?

A: The program was designed for Canadian residents as a supplement for coverage IN-EXCESS OF Canadian Health Care and not as a replacement.

Q: HOW DO I KNOW IF THE TRAMPOLINE FACILITY IS CERTIFIED?

A: Our requirements are that any Trampoline facility used by our members should be either FIG approved or meet the requirements of ASTM-F2970.

Our member clubs need to ask the facility for supply proof that they meet 1 of – or both standards. It is a Certification – ask for proof of certification. If the facility does not meet either of these 2 standards then they should not be used

If the member club owns its own equipment, then it should take the necessary steps to get approval. This can be done by contacting FIG for FIG Regulations and by asking how FIG goes about certifying a facility.

To obtain ASTM Approval for a facility – members would need to hire an engineer/inspection agency who is recommended by ASTM.

Regardless of certification, members will always need to submit a COI to Freestyle Canada for approval of use from Canadian Snow Sports (CSA).
