@brendanmackay , who squeaked into the finals as the 10th-place qualifier, had a point to prove at the 2025 Cardrona HP World Cup bringing home his first @fisfreestyle World Cup Gold Medal since 2022. Sitting in second place behind fellow Canadian @andrew_longino after his first run, Mackay pulled out all the stops on his second. A clean run featuring massive amplitude and technical tricks, including a switch left alley-oop double cork 900 and a switch left double cork 1080, earned him a winning score of 90.00 points. Andrew Longino returned to the venue where he made his World Cup debut and also reached the podium finishing 3rd.

@rachaelkarker made her return to competition, win

@rachaelkarker made her return to competition, winning bronze with a score of 87 at the @fisfreestyle Skiing Cardrona World Cup. The event also marked a personal milestone for Karker, who celebrated her 27th birthday on the day. “I’m so happy to be able to come back to competing and end up with a podium," Karker said. "It really helps me feel confident going into these next two years. The past week was challenging, but I’m very happy with my performance and I’m excited to get this season going!”

Karker’s bronze marks her return to form after an extended break following the 2023 FIS Halfpipe season. @itsamysaywhat also reached the finals finishing in 6th. Other Female Canadians competing included @morozumi._.emma, @cassiesharpe , and @dillanglennie .

@flavie_aumond, has announced her retirement from

@flavie_aumond, has announced her retirement from the Canadian National Aerials Team at just 21. 🏔️🎿

Born on December 4, 2002, in Montreal, Quebec, Flavie's skiing journey began at age six. Under the guidance of coach Nicolas Fontaine, she honed her aerial skills on the Quebec provincial team.

Aumond's competitive career soared internationally during the 2017-18 season on the NorAm circuit earning a silver medal in her first event in Park City, Utah, and a bronze at Le Relais, Quebec. In 2022, she clinched hometown gold on the NorAm circuit at Le Relais.

As a member of Freestyle Canada’s NextGen national team since 2020, Aumond consistently elevated her performance. Her breakthrough came in the 2021-22 season with a sixth-place finish at Le Relais, Quebec, followed by a career-best fifth place in Deer Valley.

Flavie's Olympic debut at the Beijing 2022 Winter Games saw her finish 19th in the women's aerial event. Just a month later, she secured gold at the European Cup and FIS Junior World Championships.

From a young skier in Lac-Beauport to a world junior champion and Olympic competitor, As she embarks on a new chapter, the Freestyle Canada community celebrates her contributions and looks forward to her continued impact on the sport.

Freestyle Canada is proud to announce the addition of Calgary-based prospect athlete, Evelyn Mullie, to the 2024-25 Canadian Slopestyle and Big Air NextGen Team!

Evelyn's selection to the team comes after a spring on-snow camp in Whistler, where she showcased impressive skills both on and off the hill. Her jumping and rail skills, combined with a positive attitude towards training, caught the eye of our coaches and the HP Committee.

After a thorough assessment, including fitness testing and on-hill evaluations, the HP Committee unanimously agreed that Evelyn's talent and dedication make her a perfect fit for the team.

The Freestyle Canada Slopestyle and Big Air High Performance Committee has finalized the Canadian Slopestyle and Big Air team for the 2024-25 season! 🇨🇦 Here's a quick rundown:

After meticulous consideration, no new additions were made to the national team program this year. However, our current skiers are geared up to elevate their game with top-notch training and support. Some athletes have shifted between NG and WCT, aiming for the ultimate podium moment in either 2026 or 2030 Olympics!

In bittersweet news, Teal Harle, a seasoned member, bids adieu to pursue new horizons. Transitioning from high-performance sports is daunting, but we're here to champion Teal and all athletes on their journey forward.
